Harvest Time

It’s high harvest at Crows’ Feat Farm, and the produce is coming fast and furious!  We’ve donated almost all of our organic vegetables to the Society of St Vincent de Paul in Exeter–that’s 150 bunches of spinach, lettuce, swiss chard, and kale, 350 lbs of zucchini and squash, 117 lbs of cucumbers, 65 lbs (and counting!) of gorgeous heirloom tomatoes, 30 lbs of beets, 15 lbs of dried beans, 20 pounds of fresh purple beans and 100 ears of corn–plus a wide variety of onions, peas, peppers, fennel and broccoli.

And we’re not done yet–we have more corn, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, squash and pumpkins to come! This is the beauty of permaculture: once the beds are established, they’re not much work, and the yields are incredible. We can feed a lot of people this way!!  Thank you Mother Earth 🙏
