Poultry Processing
This workshop will walk you step-by-step through the process of safely and compassionately butchering a chicken. Along the way we will discuss how to raise chickens for meat, how to keep them happy and healthy, and key steps to ensure your bird is handled properly. You will leave with your freshly-butchered chicken, ready to eat or freeze in 5-7 days. Workshops will be held in early June and late September.
The workshop will be scheduled a the best common time once we have five participants, with dates in early June and late September. We will also be raising and processing turkeys for Thanksgiving
